When I was assigned to teach the subject of Insurance Contracts at Mu'tah University, I found that there are numerous pieces of legislation (laws, regulations, and instructions) related to insurance that are not easily accessible for either the instructor or the student, especially with the continuous amendments to these legislations. Therefore, I deemed it appropriate to compile these legislations in a single book, updated with the latest amendments as of 2007. This is intended to enable our colleagues—professors, judges, lawyers, employees of insurance companies and the private sector, members of the armed forces and public security, as well as students and researchers—to access them, save their time, and facilitate their research. I also decided to include a glossary of important insurance terms translated into English at the end of the book, given their significance.

I ask Allah, the Most High, that I have succeeded in this work—which I hope researchers and those interested in the insurance sector will find beneficial and useful—and I ask Him, the Blessed and Exalted, for the paths of guidance and righteousness. Indeed, He is All-Hearing, All-Responsive.
