This book includes more than one hundred articles by the veteran writer and journalist Odeh Odeh. From his choice of title, the writer, who worked in teaching before moving to the challenging profession of journalism, leans towards a narrative mood that imbues his articles with its arts, images, narrative techniques, and storytelling styles, enriching them with poetry, proverbs, and quotes from historians and thinkers. The writer recounts his story with storytelling since he was still in school when the poet Khaled Al-Saket chose one of his texts for the radio program "With Our New Literature," presented by the writer Abduljabbar Al-Faqih. The amusing part is that the writer, at that time—in the early sixties of the last century—did not have a radio in his home, so he listened to the discussion of his story at a friend's house.
